İzmir Wind Symposium and Exhibition, organized by the Izmir Branches of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and the Chamber of Electrical Engineers, aims to introduce the latest technologies, services, and policies in the wind energy sector and to create a platform for evaluating developments related to local, regional, and national energy planning.

METU DAS Seminar on “Wind Energy and Wind Turbines”, Prof. Dr. Oğuz UZOL, 5 February 2019.

As part of “Semester Break Seminars” organized by METU Center for Lifelong Learning, RÜZGEM Director, Prof. Dr. Oğuz UZOL, gave a seminar on 5 February 2019 at 11:00-12:00 at METU Administrative Sciences Building, on “Wind Energy and Wind Turbines”. In this seminar the characteristics and development of wind energy as compared to other energy sources, the latest information about wind energy investments in Turkey and around the world, some fundamental concepts about wind energy and wind turbine technologies are provided to the participants, together with recent research being conducted at RUZGEM.

RÜZGEM attended the 16th Summer School on Exergy and its Applications at Trakya University in Edirne on 24-26 June 2019.

In collaboration with the METU Wind Energy Research Center and the METU Continuing Education Center, a training course titled "Basic Training on Wind Energy and Wind Turbine Technologies" will be held on April 25-26, 2019.

Asst. Prof. Zeynep Kalaylıoğlu, Deputy Director of the center and Scientific Project Expert Başak Zeka attended the EERA JP Wind new sub-programme "Wind Integration – Economic and Social Aspects" kick-off meeting held in Roskilde, Denmark on November 13th, 2014.

Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) Ankara Group will be organizing an international event on Wind Energy within the partnership of METU, RÜZGEM/METUWIND and METUTECH. Event will take place in Didim, Turkey during August 25th and September 3rd, 2014. Participants will have courses on the historical evolution of wind turbines as well as wind turbine concepts, designs and project processes.

RÜZGEM Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Uzol, will give a seminar entitled "Active Control of the Tip Vortex Using Tip Injection: An Experimental Study" as part of the ForWind 2014 Summer Seminar Series at Oldenburg University in Germany on July 25, 2014.

RÜZGEM President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Uzol will give a presentation titled "Wind Energy in Turkey" at METU Northern Cyprus Campus on May 2, 2014.

RÜZGEM took place at the Wind Energy Symposium organized by METU Aerospace Students Society (MASS), bringing students together with both academicians of Department of Aerospace Engineering and professionals from wind energy sector. Symposium is at the Aerospace Engineering Conference Room (auditorium) on April 11, 2014 at 13.00.

RÜZGEM participated in the 1st Energy Conference, organized by Prof. Dr. Sadık Kakaç and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Ünver, faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, on March 13-14, 2014.

The conference, titled "Energy and Environment/The Situation in Our Country," brought together energy experts, academics, and speakers from the private sector to share their views on clean energy policies, energy efficiency, wind, solar, bio, hydro, nuclear, and geothermal energy. At the conference, which brought together academics working on energy economics and technology, RÜZGEM President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Uzol, together with Assist. Prof. Dr. Nilay Sezer Uzol, gave a presentation on the state of wind energy in Turkey and RÜZGEM.

RÜZGEM / METUWIND organized “RUZGEM 2013 Conference on Wind Energy Science and Technology” on October 3-4, 2013, in METU Ankara Campus.

RUZGEM 2013 has been one of its kind as a scientific conference on wind energy that is held in Turkey. The scientific committee of the conference is composed of 36 prominent academicians working in the most competent national and international organizations in the field of wind energy. During the conference, 31 articles covering recent national and international developments on wind energy were presented. RUZGEM 2013 hosted 75 participants mainly from Turkey and European countries as well as U.S.A.

RÜZGEM participated in the 5th TECHNOLOGY AND R&D DAYS event, themed "ENERGY," organized by Pamukkale Teknokent in the Denizli region with the aim of developing innovation, creativity, and research.
